Concord Park Place, Tango 2, Toronto Canada, 2012-2016

The conception stems from the plan to develop an art environment for Block 17 Concord Park Place devoted to the theme of space, landscape and movement.

The dynamic structure of the elements has a very light and airy look owing to the number and the arrangement of the parts as well as to their variation in length and width. By means of the aligned and the coordinated elements, the formal clarity of the single stripes are transformed into an animated, playful-looking whole. In their formal reduction and horizontal layout, the stripes take up the characteristics of the building.  The colors contribute to the dynamism and the interplay between near and far that can, for instance with the blue projection, range from a light green-blue to a powerful dark blue.

The unity of architecture and artistic intervention produces a visual interaction between near and far, standstill and movement, flat plane and spatial depth. It produces a dynamic whole that unfolds between interior and exterior at Concord Park Place.
